Over the last two weeks, the nation has watched our public health status shift from a public health emergency to a public health disaster in many of our major cities. This shift has produced overwhelming concerns for some individuals, leading to fear and panic. A few days ago, Florida’s Governor, Ron DeSantis, issued a stay at home order, and directed residents to shelter in their homes. The CDC had previously recommended that only those with Covid-19 symptoms wear protective masks. The CDC now says that wearing protective masks, along with staying at home, is an effective safety measure for those who are not feeling sick, and the best way to protect yourself from the coronavirus.
We are all in this fight together! This means all of us need to practice the recommended measures. Wearing a mask and staying at home is our new normal!
