Bubble Wrap | Bubble Wrapped Children?

Did you know bubble wrap was invented in 1957 when engineers sealed two shower curtains together? Originally the product was designed to be sold as wallpaper. After the design failed as wallpaper, the protective usage as packing material was discovered.

Most people have had some experience with bubble wrap, from receiving a delivered package to moving across town, bubble wrap helps to protect the things we love from being scuffed, chipped, cracked, or all together broken. However, when bubble wrapping the things we love, children should be left off the list.

Children build confidence in their abilities by dealing with situations that may make them feel uncomfortable, and even frightened at times. Having opportunities to make decisions, even when the desired outcomes are not achieved, serves as building blocks for making future decisions.
