Chance | Second Chance?

What exactly does it mean to you to give someone a second chance? I have been on the receiving end of second chances many times. And I am appreciative of those opportunities that were extended to me. I have also been on the side of being the extender of second chances. I find myself, in most cases, having confidence in people and their abilities. I believe that whatever caused them to fail in a particular situation the first time, will remedy itself the second go around. I enjoy being hopeful and optimistic! However, I can sometimes be hopeful and optimistic to a fault. I have given second chances that turned out to be bad decisions on my part. When that happens, I get that feeling of someone slapping me across the back of my head.
