Everyone talks about making a good first impression. Your handshake can speak volumes about you! When I shake hands with someone, I try to be all in, where I can feel the palm of my hand touch the palm of the other person’s hand. Through my handshake, I try to make the other person feel welcomed, like they would with a warm hug or embrace. I try not to engage the other person’s hand too firmly or hard, but not too limp or soft. Handshakes are non-verbal ways of communicating with others and in many cases the first impression you will make on someone, so make sure you know what your handshake is saying about you.
